French VFR site

I have their Corsica package, fantastic. Terrain resolution isn't as sharp as some, but I fly there more than anywhere else :)

er, wrong FrenchVFR site 'guzler'!

The link that Oleboy provided points to 'Beercan' and 'Lagaffe' s (SOH user names) place, where they are hosting their
high-poly models like the Druine Turbulent pointed out by Roger.

Check out the Nieuport 17, get in the VC and climb under the panel, you'll see twisted lockwire on the fuel valve !

Confusion between our site " French-VFR " and " France-VFR " site dedicated to French sceneries!
At any rate, thank you for your interest for French sites of creation! (They are rare)

By looking at the details and knowing they are FS2004 models, I can only imagine what they actually display like in the sim. This is only due to my not having FS9 installed. From that aspect I am missing a lot. I have since moved on to Prepar3D.

From what I do see, lots of detail. Of which is my main attraction for virtual flight. Bernard, you mentioned you are learning the FSX SDK. I think that in itself is fantastic after seeing your skills applied to your FS9 models!

I've signed up for your newsletter too :salute:

Great craftsmanship :medals:

OleBoy,

The story is more complex.
I began at first with the SDK of Fs2002, then Fs2004. In view of the limitations of Fs2004, I passed naturally on FsX, where from the creation with the SDK of FsX. But, regrettably, this one is also limited in possibilities.
I read, on the Internet, the publications on the technique ULE (UnLimited export).
Dissatisfied by this method ULE, I created my method ( ULE2), based about on the same tools but from which the logic is different, what allows me to create models in very high definition and without limit of the number of polygons.
The size of the file MDL is lower than that of the equivalent ULE, and more easily.

I thus create my models for Fs2004 then adapt them to FsX who accepts them, while the SDK cannot create them and FsX cannot use them!
Quite French logic!:bump:

Thanks, BeerCan! But yes, trying to download the reworked version gives this error: "Download permission denied by uploader. (0b67c2f5)"

After reading the name "OldBoy" on the side I was inspired to give this a go. Being installed in Prepar3D, I gave it a test. Pretty impressive. I like it. You've modeled a lot of details throughout the model. First off and after taxiing to the runway, this one seemed to have plenty of power. The pitch of the prop pulled it on the tarmac well. Like a hotrod gripping the pavement when stepping on the gas. A sort of lunge feel as I rolled along. Being at the end of the runway and ready to throttle up, I slowly moved the throttle forward till a good rolling momentum was attained. Then, I firewalled the throttle. Before I realized it I was up on step and tail up. Away we go!

Lots of power. I love the sounds as they flow through the graduations of throttle movements. The change in pitch. Awesome. She's responsive. And quick.
Not meaning to degrade what you've created, although the FDE could use some TLC to give it better response and grace. She flies real nice otherwise. A nice addition of open cockpit rides.

My testing was done in P3D. I'd like to say first that I'm not complaining. My comments here on are only observations for you.
I noticed that when the model was loaded (In P3d I have everything on and cranked to 100%) that there were shade spikes always following the model. They seemed to transmit back to the starting point from where I took off from. It was a strange anomaly I've only experienced with this model. Also the textures seem to lack visual depth.

Like I say, just my observations for your reference.

Thank you for the model :)

The Tagazou is a great plane. But I cannot trim it, it always noses down if I do not pull on the stick. Can I change this?

I also like the Super Dupont, it has become my favourite plane for sightseeing trips.

Thank you!

Cheers, Sascha

Doh !

Sorry chaps !

Thanks M. BeerCan. This is an avion that is much fun to fly. Merci beaucoup for all your hard work! Thanks for posting it for us. I can't wait to see your future work.

To anyone who hasn't flown Tag yet I say: be ready with your right foot for the take-off torque and it's easy to send the Manifold Pressure into the red zone so apply the throttle smoothly and gingerly.

Best Regards,
Obie

A French warship : FREMM Aquitaine

Good news ...
After 4 months of work the first version of the FREMM Aquitaine for FSX/P3D is finally published on French-VFR (see section Download "Library and static objects.")

The door problem (http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425210) has find his solution. This was resolved with the usage of RFN gauge : TACAN v4.1 (http://royalefrenchnavy.perso.sfr.fr).
With this gauge it is possible to send a key event from your aircraft to an AI in order to command an action.

An AI traffic (France- Arcachon) is provided in the basic package which allows you to familiarize yourself with the techniques of landings at sea on this wonderfull French frigate! To take full advantage, it is imperative to download this gauge and install it in your FSX/P3D and your helicopter in order to locate the boat at sea.

Then nothing prevents you to create your own AI traffic view or use AI Carriers to create a fleet with other boats as Charles de Gaulle or Forbin.

This static or dynamic element is usable in FSX and P3D and more it is compatible DX10 . A surprise to find well hidden around the ship :) .... you have to find it!

A v2.0 with improvements is golds already provided by the cool team :salute:
