OK has anybody here ran into the problem of FS recorder not completing it's install in FSX win 7 64? is there some kind of a fix?

What version are you trying to install ?

I have the 2.1 running fine - FSX Gold - Windows 7 64bits.
Installed with administrator rights.

Are we talking about the new GeForce Experience_v3.0.5.22? I have been trying for the last two day's to get to record.....no luck!

sidler, to make the new GF Experience to record, just push ALT+Z in your keyboard (Make sure that the --share-- option is checked inside GF options before, the gear button near your user). It´s much more easier now and aimed to people that do live streaming thru the net. (Just checked and it works perfectly with FSX and P3D)

Hi flaviossa

I do have the share button click on. When I click alt + Z in the Sim the options pop up then I click on record and nothing happens!

Does the green dot appears in the corner of your monitor?
Also, make sure that the option "Enable desktop capture" is checked in the privacy section as FSX and P3D are not Shadowplay Ready games. So ShadowPlay will think that you´re capturing the desktop, but you will be in a simulator.

Hi flaviossa

Thanks for the help.....I will try your suggestion's and see what happrns.

Thanks again

Hi flaviossa

Yes "Enable desktop capture" is on and still nothing happens. I did notice the green "dot" does not appear on the screen. That must the problem! How do I get it to turn on?

Thanks
Dick

The green dot appears when you start recording. That´s the sign that shows when it´s recording or not. It will automaticly appears when you start recording. If it´s not showing even when you start recording, i will suggest that you search in the Windows Services if there are 4 Nvidia Services running: "nvsvc", "NvContainerLocalSystem", "NvContainerNetworkService" and "NVidia Wireless Controller Service". These are the request services that needs to be running. (I know that because shadowplay stopped for me when i disabled them for testing)

Anyway, i know you already did that, but make sure you´re running the latest driver witch is 372.70. What´s your nvidia card?
Also, check if these process are running in your machine (Default nvidia process after driver install):

nvsvc comes from "Nvidia Display Driver Service" and the other is Shadowplay related. Now, i don´t have enough info to say if the process you´re missing is essential to your video card. For mine, if i shutdown these process, a lot of features stops working. I don´t know if you already did that, but i suggest a clean driver reinstalation as some features are not available for you right now. Of course, only if you have the knowledge to do that. If not, call a friend to help. Go to nvidia page, download the latest driver for your video card and when you start it, there is a checkbox giving you the option to do a "clean" instalation. I recomend that. Give it a go if you feel confortable to do that and please let me know if it worked or not. Good luck! :encouragement:

Thanks flaviossa

I will reinstall my video card. My existing card is EVGA gtx760, driver is 372.70. I have a feeling it's something simple.

Change the teamHi flaviossa

I was right...it was something simple. I needed to go to Appearance and Personalization --> Personalization --> Change the theme, I chose Aero Themes (7) and I picked Windows 7. That did it! The new Shadow Play is EXCELLENT!

Thanks for your help....

Dick

Wow, very simple! I´m glad it´s working now. And, thank you for the knowledge. I would never suspect anything about windows themes. Now, i know :encouragement:

Shadowplay would not work with my custom desktop Wallpaper. I had to remove my Wallpaper and install the original desktop. Once I got Shadowplay to work I was able to re-install my custom Wallpaper!
