FS2004 Bell 47 G with piston engine - Bell 47 G with piston engine

Hallo friends
this is my attempt to convert the venerable Bell 47G done by Jean Mermaz frome turbine engine
to piston engine as the real one. the bird can certainly improved. Would be glad if someone will
rework her.Especially the flight behaviour and the contact points might merrit some look onto.
But as she is she flies not too bad

Best Regards

Michael

Hallo Mick

I tried to fly the version Bell 47 piston kit
on my opinion : horrible.
The Bell served in a lot of armed forces and civil helicopter schools as beginners helicopter.
Also the Bell 47 was known as a very stableand obedient. So I was surprised about the
behaviour of this one.
The only thing I took from the aircraft.cfg has been the contact point entries - and I even had to correct them.
As I found a manual of this chopper I just did two corrections in the panels, I just inverted two gauges positions.
The only problem I have for the poment is that you will have the time to smoke two cigarettes after the engine
started and you can take off.

Best regards

Michael

Thanks Michael. It flies well, at least as AI.

You know, I love to move a bit outside of the mainstream!

Michael, I don't see much of *anything* that needs correction. :loyal:

My first flight was VERY smooth but due to some wind I almost knocked Cleveland out of his bathtub. :ROFLMAO:

The screenshot was taken at my favorite hanger in Ankeny, Ia.
The "Petercopter" is a reference to various cut scenes from "Family Guy".
Again, I blame the wind. This was literally my first landing in the Bell.

Good evening friends
thank you a lot for your comments.
nice to jnow that the outcome of what I did seems not too bad LOL
Bernard why didn' t you send me a message that you will fly near to me? - I would have asked you to land and come in for a cup of tea LOL
For some family reason I had to interupt the work on the manual of my next release. With all the flights I did for the final tuning and to make the manual - the next will be quiet pleasant machine to fly.

Best regards

Michael
