oh my..... *Draws curtains*..... erm....... *falls off chair in a stupor*

i miss them things, in fact 1 of them Phantoms has a place very close to my heart '71750' was the first aircraft i ever sat in as a kid, didn't realise it back then but that aircraft was my reason for my interest in aviation, years later after i 'returned home' for a holiday, i looked up my old neighbour and was once again allowed to ride, not sit this time, but ride in her, you've put the smell, sight and sounds of the jet back in my mind, vision and nose Ian, and i can't thank you enough for posting that link, sentimental little bugger i am really.... so once again.... ευχαριστώ πολύ, Nigel, πάρει το ούζο! (in english; Thanks a lot, Nigel, Get the ouzo!)

Now the sh...t's really gonna hit the turbofans...

Ian, that's obscene and gross and no administrator in his right mind should allow material of such content to be allowed near a family environment such as here...:icon_lol:

Now look what you've done, got us all worked up and in a dither (icon:mind in a spin), and look at what its done to young Smoothie here; as if the poor little bugger doesn't already have enough on his plate...which reminds me;

"There is also a superb Greek 'Aegean Ghost' scheme that I'd give my right ear for if it 'happened to appear' for the Virtavia model...its my alltime favourite F-4 paint and I know a dude who would make a real slick job of it..."

Oh cripes a'mighty, now I'm in the sh..t!

And the OUZO spirit gets openned AFTER the Ghost, Matt! :bump: ...so get yourself back up on that chair; Pull yourself together, hands off frocks and on with socks - duty calls! So just close your eyes and think of HELLAS. We're depending on you down here!

ξεροσφύρι... springs to mind with me and ouzo :icon_lol: can't guarantee anything but once this IRIS work is done i may just look at a ghost Spooky.... :salute:

Phew! Thank goodness for that, Ξεροκέφαλο! (icon:lets out a great sigh of relief:icon)

Basically Gentlemen, what Smoothie has just announced is a very Greek way of saying:

Yep! no hassle folks- its a doddle for someone as talented as me and I'm nearly done on the Iris work anyway, no sweat!

My reply to Smoothie: Ξεροκέφαλο! means 'hardhead' cos he's pretending as Greeks often do, to play hard to get! They do this to create a sense of drama (greek word too) and suspense! :icon_lol: ...as in theatricals (yet another Greek word).

How dirty is that...?
Makes me want to get out the paint brushes and do some alterations on the existing models!
I just love it dirty! Great pictures Ian!

Stuart

:salute: Hey, go for it Stuart; nothing worse than aircraft that look like they've never flown anywhere.

'Dirty' gives an aircraft weight, character and presence.

i like things dirty too.... Defender 90's and 110's, Bedfords... Wome..... actually scratch that last one, not with minors about.... :icon_lol: but a Phantom with dirt..... oh yes... thats bliss right there, and deserving of a place right next to Zeus up there on mount Olympus :icon_lol:

Nice shot Andy. I like the "Ghost" scheme and I have several planes painted in those colors including for the IRIS "EAP", I believe it's for the "Cyclone" variant. Can't say for sure who did the paint but I have a pretty good idea, judging by the exquisite quality. :medals:

Nigel -- darn your hide! I just blew out all of the windows in the upstairs bedroom with my F-4E Phantom, after putting your "engines" in it. Outstanding work! :ernae:

This needs to be a sticky!

There is also a superb Greek 'Aegean Ghost' scheme that I'd give my right ear for if it 'happened to appear' for the Virtavia model.../QUOTE]

Nigel, were you looking for a specfic aircraft in a special scheme, or a generic Aegean Ghost Phantom? If the latter, then Michael Pearson has doen it, look over at Avsim.

:salute: Andy, that's a beauty indeed, I'll be downloading immediately!

Re: specific, special weathered version. I understand 'our upstart kid on the block' has undertaken it on himself to provide us with an inspired weathered, version. It's his fav too! (And we've got to push him lads, because he's young, very gifted and hard working but easily distracted towards lack of self confidence).

So there you have me Andy; I now look like Vincent Van Gough in the mirror (his was the left ear if I remember correctly). So name your price my friend; ask for a soundset and if it is within my powers, it shall be yours! :salute:

:wavey:
Don't be in too much of a rush Tom...why not leave downstairs for when we eventually get round to the Vulcan!

i'm amazed he only blew the windows out, i've had to call for a construction surveyor to check the building integrity, but my gosh is it worth it.... last 48hrs i've gotten all of 1hr sim time, the rest being work, not slept yet.... :icon_lol:

i have not started an HAF Phantom II honestly..... not working on weathering....

bloomin' buggers, you know me if you mention either a)HAF or EPA b)Phantom II that things get dumped on the spot :icon_lol:
