One of the most well known landmarks of France

Le Mont St Michel. An abbey at the border of Brittany and Normandy in the Bay of Mt St Michel. It used to be surrounded by the sea during high tide, but the over the years the sea added so much sand that only with exceptional high water the abbey could be seen in the middle of the water. Recently a system of locks has been introduced, using the water from the river Couesnon to wash away the sand.

The abbey and the small town are build on an old volcano. The isle in the back is called Tombelaine and is an other old volcane. In the area you can find more particular hills, Mont-Dol and Lillemer, which were also volcanoes in the same ridge.

The scenery is done by Pascal Dumat and I still wonder how he was able to create the tides.....

The scenery by Pascal is still the best rendering of the Mont in my opinion.

Hi Huub, Great scenery & I've searched high & low for Mt St Michel scenery I came across this Mont Saint Michel v2 but cannot find it
but
St. Michel scenery. Two separate files by Pascal Dumat, lfrf2005.zip for the airport ofGranville (N/A) and smichel2.zip (N/A) for the Mont St Michel. The latter—absent fromdefault FS2004 scenery—is included in the above-mentioned FRP2004, but in a roughFS98-style rendering. Here the results are instead very accurate and really astonishing.

Also, St Malo? I'd love to get that as well, as it's fairly close to Mont St Michel.

Any ideas?

Bit more St Malo

Pete,

Your version of Granville is definitely from France VFR. The version from Pascal Dumas is very simple. But its still nice to install as its main contribution is that it adds some sandy beaches to the coast of West Normandy.

Cheers,
Huub
