The AVROs are extremely detailed. For instance check the welds on the exhaust....

Is this available for us mere mortals? Or is it still beta?

Matin B-26 marauder Dee-Feater (second try)

(Test linking to an external source...) As said, remake of one of the most representative Martin B-26 Marauder pictures. Milton Shupe & Team B-26 Marauder for FS9, texture by jankees (for FSX), adapted for FS9 by me.

Huub, the first time I've seen this picture was the cover page of an Airfix magazine, long years ago...

I think it was the picture Airfix used for the introduction of the B-26 model. They had a picture of the real aircraft and of the model placed above each other at the same background. The repaint by JanKees looks more like the real thing than too glossy Airfix model did :biggrin-new:

Thanks for bringing back these memories,
Huub

FINALLY!! got my Avro's from Nigel

After FS crash issues.. then dropbox problems.. and thanks to Nigel for kindly resending me the files... I have the beta Avros... FINALLY!!!

Loving this airplane.. and have been informed by the man himself today that if I like this.. well.. the finished product will please me... (I'm putting his words mildly... LOL)

HAD to play around with the textures... it's my 'thing'.... and what a joy to fly. Pulling on my "real world" biplane flying experience, flying this little beauty was no issue at all.. Handles as I expect she should.. and will embarrass you with some unwildly bounces if you don't get the touchdown just right... AS IT SHOULD as a trainer!!

So, here we are, high above the UK countryside, on a typical summer day.... REAL WORLD flying doesn't get any better than this!

Avro 621 over Morocco.

An hour southwest of Cassablanca at 4000' flying my Avro 621 Trainer from Lossiemouth to the Canaries.. (one ore fuel stop should do it) and maybe then further south along the African coast.

Better weather than I started this 'adventure' in four days ago!

Many stops along the way as she only has a 275 mile range!

Hey.. if you are going to help test an airplane.. take it for a REAL spin! LOL

Whole sky to myself too. :)

Didn't see you on my travels Bushi... I started out in Cairo; having had it transported by Sea first.....then followed north African coast across Libya, passing the great Marble Arch, then into Morrocco for a stop with the French foreign legion at Smara

I'm aiming for a circumnavigation of the greater Sahara, then back up the Suez Canal, to Cairo or maybe across Iraq to Habbaniya.
