FS8 airports in FS9?

I downloaded and installed the additional airports from the BFU site. They were made for FS2002 with that "afcad" and don't show up in the go to airport in FS2004. Is there any way to find them?

Rich12345, did you manually install the airports or were they installed using an installer? Have you tried to activate the scenery?

I don't know the scenery package in question, but I have installed FS2002 airports into FS9 and sometimes they go into the sceneryDB folder, which FS9 doesn't have and so the installer creates one.
I would be tempted to uninstall and then reinstall into the addon scenery folder as BFU and activate it. That way if it doesn't work in FS9 it is easy to get rid of.

I put them all in a folder named BFU (Bush Flying Unlimited). Then I put the folder in addon scenery and installed in the usual manner. I have since found them in addon scenery in the select airport menu but they don't show up in the sim. If someone doesn't have an idea today, I'm just going to delete the whole thing.

I'm no expert when it comes to scenery...or anything for that matter...but I will download the scenery and see if I can get it going to FS9.

Is there any other source for the files than AvSim? Their library is still offline and the BFU site links there for the downloads.

I don't know since I downloaded them a few weeks ago. The files have some kind of afd thing like "att_afd.bgl. I think that's for afcads but not sure. I never had FS2002.

I can't download the scenery packages as AVsim is on the fritz again. Most of the scenery listed on the BFU site is FS2002/FS2004...so I am not sure why it's not working for you. And until AVsim's downloads are working again, won't be able to give them a try.

Is the BFU scenery high enough priority? I mean above another scenery that might be stopping it showing.
