Fs9 connectivity to ......

Other day I reinstalled FS9 to fly some a/c not suitable for FSX. I cannot get it to connect to Aerosoft's FS Commander nor can it connect to Plan-G. They have worked in the past. I know I have setup those program correctly in so far as the correct FS directory name. Both progs can build their scenery database. With FSC there is no notification of failure. But Plan-G at least gives 3 deep beeps when Connect to FS in enacted and of course nothing else happens.

At the moment I have FS9 installed with the 9.1 update, FS Global and FSUIPC & WideFS (registered versions) and FS9 running in compatibility mode for W7 64 and for all users. This is driving me nuts I don't think I overlooked anything and reading blurb elsewhere this should all work. Any ideas? Often it is the stupidest thing that is overlooked though.

My FSX works just fine

Fixed it! Turns out the previous install of h:\fs2004 had not uninstalled properly (thanks MS) and when I reinstalled it as g:\FS9 it caused a confusion for Plan-G and FSC who were still looking for the previous. A search through the registry sorted out the issue and a reinstall of g:\FS9.
