FS9 F-104s in FSX

Anyone know if it's possible to make the Cloud9 or Captain Sim F-104s work in FSX? I have heard that it's possible but not sure how to go about it.

I don't know if it's possible to make it work.
However, doesn't SimSkunkWorks offer a FREEWARE F-104S in native FSX format already ?
I use that F-104 in FSX and I'm about to transfer it in P3Dv2. I'm not sure if it's a S version though... I think it is.
And it's an absolute beauty to fly :)
 
The Captain Sim F-104 works well in FSX but the aircraft file may need modifying. There have been a few threads over the last 4 years here discussing the issues. The most critical one after you port over, is to remember that the two generator switches on the electrical pop-up panel (or in the vc) must be turned on, otherwise some systems such as flaps and gear, don't work (embarrassing....!). The other thing is that the texture configuration editor (TCE) doesn't work and you have to define how each texture looks and the load-out by hand in the aircraft.cfg file. Also adding thumbnails to each texture set really helps because they are identified only by numbers. But I'm sure there is stuff out there to help.

And it remains a really good model and (I think) the only one to include a two-seater.

As Daube says SimSkunkworks have freeware -G and -S models that are much more sophisticated

I downloaded and installed the SimSkunkWorks freeware F-104 S (v2.6 FSX stable) successfully.

There's a problem I cannot solve:
After starting the engine I still have the yellow warning light "Inertial Nav Fail" and I don't get any power to the main
Attitude Indicator.

Can someone give me some advice how to recover that correctly, please.

Did you initialise/align the INAS?
You'll find the control knob on the right-hand panel, and it operates with the mouse wheel. Don't close/lock the canopy until you've done this, as the lock lever gets in the way.
Rotate the control knob straight to the 'align' position (2 clicks) once you have the electrics online.
The tooltip will then count down. Once aligned, the light above the control knob will flash.
When the light is flashing move the control knob to 'flight' and away you go.
