Hello,

Anyone know the status of this project? It looks absolutely gorgeous. See here:

I'm a bit worried though, since not much seems to have happened on it for around a year. Who wouldn't want this model repainted like this:

or for hauling some US VIPs around in style ...

or some Luftwaffe officials ...

... or for a quick visit to Mexico!

Anyway, this is one I've looked forward to for ages - someone hopefully knows.

Many thanks,

dl

Looks like maybe Chuck Jodry or Tim would be the best to ask. . .beyond that I won't comment.:salute:

. . . .and the Announcement was? lol, I can guess, based on past performance, but I view FSD through a cynical eye, hence the "beyond that I won't comment", comment!:salute:

There is one legendary Jet being meshed by the best at the moment the will satisfy the most cynical i think, time will tell , i wont say more .

Yep, I always wanted that aircraft to be released, but I guess I'll shrug my shoulders, spit on the ground, put my hands deep in my pockets, keep up some dust with my foot and keep on walking.... :crybaby:

Thanks ... not quite the answer I was hoping for, but sometimes plan B is better than plan A ...

good luck to the devs ...

Just hope it's not a Lear . . sorry to any Lear fans, but there are a number of choices there for medium and light bus jets already and the "gap" to be filled is for a longer range machine. A G5 or Falcon 7x would fit the bill. But, as we know there are IP issues at least as far as payware is concerned.

I loved the Jetstar though. Though few left flying - it's just too expensive to operate (which is why you can buy one for under a million bucks). It's a classic as it's the original business jet + I like the "why have two engines when four will do" design. My current heavy metal private long ranger: David Maltby's Queen of the Skies, the VC-10 . .

Funny you should mention a Lear Jet , i have been sweating over a hot 20 series with VRay to create a high rez texture set that makes them look their age , although that’s another story and company, anyway the Lears fuel costs and noisy engines have made them as scarce as the JetStar and any number of the early BizJets, good thing operating costs in sim are low these days .<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

As Steve mentioned in his announcement the JetStar needed to be done from scratch to meet today’s demands, with time there is bound to be one available, another day and another sim perhaps.
