Excellent model inside and out, Dave ! Congrats!:applause::applause::applause: Thanks very much ! :ernae:

Brings big smile to my face. Was my first ever self build RC model.Great memories. :mixedsmi:

Always wonderful to checkout your new masterpiece. Very tempting to do a few repaints. Thanks again, mate, as far as i'm concerned you couldn't have chosen a luvlier subject !

Oh, one little problem i seem to be having, my compass seems to be stuck.... It moves a bit up and down ( supposed to 'float' , right ? :applause: ) but doesn't turn....

Btw, how did you get the Maule pilot to fly your Auster ??....

Cheers,
Jan

Thanks Jan,

Who didn't read the pilots notes then :icon_lol: That "compass" is the fuel gauge, the compass is mounted on the floor. ;)

I noticed there's a vc light entry commented out so I uncommented it back in again and amongst other things it shows the panel contours off nicely. I don't know if a vc light is modeled but if it is, it doesn't work in my install.

@ Javis: take a look at that Auster and you know how:bump:
Thank you Dave for this classic Brit. My first RC-model years ago was an Auster (unfortunately, I could never afford the electronic components then). It therefore took at least nearly 40 years for me to fly an Auster.

I shoot the blue one last year at the Abbeville Airfield in France during my vaccation.

@ Jeansy: when and where do I find those great Assie-ones??

Mike

I have just applied to the job of runway sweeper at Davidstowe Moor. Might get it too if i pass the exams..

Sjeezzz... :sheep:

Hopefully i'll get a ride in the back once in a while. I do love that little Auster so much.

Cheers,
Jan ( runs off to the corner wearing a monkey suit and dunce hat)

Thanks,Mike, but i'm not allowed to go near any aeroplane during the rest of the year... :blind:

My first self build RC model too. Building it took half a year, flying it 5 minutes.... :d

Luvly Jubbly! :)

Where are all of these great repaints located? I think this plane is one of the finest we have yet! It's aircraft like this that will keep our hobby alive! Thanks,

Steve

G-AIGF is a J/1N Alpha (an Autocrat that has a larger engine, longer nose and enlarged fin and rudder) and capable of carrying four persons (at a struggle).

I've noticed that the 'roller' at the front of the door opens it, when this is the device which allows you to open and close the window. With a screwing action, this tightens the two frames together.

The strap below the window is normally used to open the door. That is, if you use it carefully. I once gave it a yank in an Autocar and the whole thing came off in my hand. Wasnt very popular that day.

Best wishes,

Martin
