FSX B29

Is there an FSX B29 to be had anywhere?

I find it hard to understand why there appears to be so little interest in this monster in the FS world.

I guess that would be something for A2A, since they already have the Boeing 337, which was based on the B-29.
Imagine a accusimmed B-29!

I have Gnoopey's (Tom Kohler) RB-50 and TB-50 beasties working well in FSX, and imagine his B-29 models might port over to FSX, VC and all.

Not speaking for A2A but i know it wouldnt happen. Biggest reason is there is only 1 flying in the world.

There's a B-29 in the package we did for Xtreme Prototypes X-1.... Of course, you can't fly it... but you can drop from it.. (almost as good!)

I've thought about getting this package. Does this B-29 have multi LOD's like an AI plane, or is it a solid model that you just can't fly? I could use an AI B-29.

I guess that would be something for A2A

In the Wings of Power pack,A2A did do a B29, along with a Liberator, Lanc, Ar 234 & privateer(IIRC)
Although for FS9,they fly nicely in FSX.I wonder if they could accusim the B29 model like they did the B17?

A2A did import their B-29 into FSX. The model, and VC looked pretty good, but of course from a systems standpoint it is non-existent. Still an excellent model though, and flies pretty decent. You can buy it from their website. I wound up getting it in some CD package of theirs I bought from Gamestop.. Got a whole bunch of aircraft with it for $20.00. I haven't seen it offered in years though.

There are loads of repaints for the Gnoopy & A2A versions on Flightsim,actualy this has tempted me to get some of the more unusual ones(ie not pure metal)

I have the WoP Powerpack with the B-29, and it seems to fly pretty well in FSX.

I wish someone would do a "Fifi" repaint for her. One of my biggest thrills was getting a tour of "Fifi" when they were filming "The Enola Gay" at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1980. She flew right over my house on approch to D-M. They were doing T&G's with her while filming from a Learjet chase plane. It was amazing to be standing on the flightline and listening to her start-up. Gave me goosebumps!
