FSX crashing to BSoD

For a couple weeks I have had this issue where about a dozen of the planes in my hangar would crash my system to BSoD whenever they try to load in the rotating kiosk. One of them, the A2A P-47, I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, making sure EVERYTHING that had anything to do with the Jug, and it would still crash the system. I found one issue with it; a certain .dll file in the gauge folder that was peculiar to the P-47, seemed to be the cause. I removed it, the P-47 seemed to work correctly, and all was well. Until I tried to use my CS weapons. Then whichever plane had weapons activated would crash the system, same as before. Today I completely uninstalled everything in FSX and the FSX itself. I also deleted everything remaining in the directory and started with a fresh install of FSX and Accel pack. I then installed most of my planes and made sure they worked. Then I installed CS Weapons and tried it... and I got the same results. If I try to load a plane that has the weapons activated, the machine crashes to BSoD and restarts. I don't even get as far as loading the thing to fly it. It crashes just trying to load it in the rotating kiosk screen of a thing. So now I have no idea what to do... Open to suggestions...

Your problem probably has nothing to do with FSX and its add-ons. The BSoD usually means a hardware fault: mainboard, memory or harddisk. Usually it is the hard disk. Since you have your problem when you start FSX, then it is possible that some sectors are damaged and Windows just chokes up when trying to read them.

I recommend making a backup of everything of value in your computer because other stuff may get damaged since the error usually spreads around.
Open a DOS windows and at the prompt run chkdsk c:/r
It will take a lot of time, depending on disk size. On mine it takes about 2 hours with a 500 Gbyte Hdd.
It will tell you what files could be damaged.

Afterwards do a FSX reinstall.

If the problem does not disappear, then take it to a tech.

For memory checks and mainboard checks, you will need diagnostic programs. Sometimes the mainboard manufacturer bundles one of those in the installation CD-ROM.

Well, I am now actualy in the process of reinstalling Win7 and FSX on my second HDD, which I have wanted to do anyway, and then I'll wipe the original HDD and start over with it. So fr everything, including CS weapons for FSX, appears to be working correctly. Obviously something messed up the original drive. Hopefully with a zero fill and reformat I can get it working again.
