FSX Douglas C-117D Skytrooper

"I guess phasing them out"

Not at all. There with the US State Dept and Diplomatic Security Service and USMC. All protect US assets oversea's like embassies. There is one known in Spain and another somewhere in Italy. this C117 has a very valuable asset that not even a Herc can't match in quick Tactical SAR.

One final paint before I go on holiday: C-117D N306SF (cn 43393) Skyfreighters, 1985-1995. The aircraft was delivered to the USAAF as C-47A-30-DL, 42-23758 with C/N 9620. To the USN as R4D-5 BuNo 12437 then rebuilt to R4D-8. Became C-117D when designations standardized in 1962. Other civil registrations include N8538R and N44GH. It served with Blue Angels 1953-55.

Sweden, here I come!

Some wonderful paints. Any painter want to try a Retro Fictional USCG bird based Corpus Christi Sector?

These two are almost ready. Just some final detailing here and there then ya'll can go flyin'.

The natural skin version uses a bit higher reflection global map than the two tone. The tires do have texture, they just don't show due to the general shading in the photos. No worries... Jankees and mine both have appropriate tires.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Super 3's in civilian cargo service, not polished, they get washed when it rains, they get worked hard and have character. :applause::applause::applause:

I've finished all four versions. Weathered aluminum and polished with light wear, also weathered two tone and restoration with light wear. All four are highly detailed blanks for re-painters to use as foundations for their custom paints. Of course...they look pretty good as they are...just add tail numbers.
All four versions are depicted as working aircraft with appropriate exhaust and oil stains. I'm not a big fan of trailer queens.

I'll have these loaded up onto the site here tomorrow...this is a very fine model to work with and fly. If this is a beta, I'll can't wait to see the final.
Enjoy ladies and gents and happy flying.

C-117D MAAG Taiwan

Possible repaint subject. A very nice looking C117 used for VIP transport in Taiwan.

Thank you very much for these in advance...that is very gracious of you, Sir. you made my day.

I've uploaded my four blank skins to the site. They are located in FSX skins, sort by date created descending to find them easily. I'll be happy to hearing your feedback, input and suggestions on these skins.

Thanks for your kind comments and happy flying...this one's a real gem.

Are they avaliable now? I can't find them.

Navigation: Look in Add-Ons Library, Flight Simulator X Add-Ons, FSX Skins.
Use the sort menu and select Sort by Date, descending. That should get you there.

They are loaded and awaiting approval.

Hello,
I only use 2D panels, when I install my 2D panel the propellers do not "run", I can start the engines, I have start smoke, the aircraft flies... with the original panel the propellers are OK.
Does someone known a working 2D panel with this aircraft?
Thanks in advance
