Hi all.
I've got what is probably a stupid question, but I'm hoping someone has an answer for me, so I can decide whether or not I need to back everything up for a full reinstall.
I have FSX Deluxe, but never got around to buying Acceleration. I finally decided I should pick it up, since more and more add-ons seem to need things from Acceleration. After checking Amazon, and realizing there was only a 2 dollar difference between the stand-alone Acceleration expansion and the Gold version, I decided to pick up the Gold version.
Since I've already got FSX Deluxe (with SP2) installed, will I be able to just install the Acceleration stuff from the gold disk(s) over my existing install, or will I have to uninstall Deluxe before installing Gold w/ Acceleration? Also, if I can install just the Acceleration stuff from the Gold disks, is there any reason or benefit as to why I should consider uninstalling Deluxe first, and then doing a complete install of everything from the Gold disks?
Thanks in advance for any advice or information on this.
