• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

FSX Hangs on cockpit view of selected plane

Have issues as of late when ever I load FSX the default is what came out of the box with the hang glider at Friday Harbor. If I chose another plane and different airport,
FSX will load the scenery yada - yada and then there we are looking out of the cockpit windscreen at the airport I chose and then it hangs/freezes. I cannot go to another view
external or otherwise. I get a fatal error then FSX shuts down. I can go around this if I choose the default hang glider at friday harbor then change planes first then airports
then All is well. Strange. I checked for cooties found none (0). Did a memory check and that is good.

I think I remember seeing some one else had same issues but don't remember if and what the solution was.


Edit: I saved a backup copy of FSX.CFG and let FSX build me a new one and so far, that one seems to work better.
