FSX Native An28

Not a great fan of any of the Russian Aircraft. . .usually no tool tips assigned to the animations or gauges so you really have to get into the manuals and learn the names and locations of the most important gauges and switches. . .yep, lazy as hell. However, this is an excellent model, maybe I can fudge my way through it. Thanks for the HU! :salute:

This one actually has Tool tips, which surprised me and the gauges even indicated when I hovered over them. Been having a blast with this around Cuba all night.

there was something mentioned about the flight model on the download page. I'll take a look and see what i find as soon as it finishes downloading..

I agree, she's a keeper. One thing "CG" when I loaded the VC, I was way back in the cabin and while the other views put me up in the flight deck, none of them was the actual VC view. Did you have any problems in that area?

Yep, hitting the "A" key, once loaded works just fine. A couple of things I noticed. . . .I got a really odd white block out in front of the airplane, that wasn't visible until after take-off. After checking the [Lights] section, I found that some of the effects (most actually) were ones I didn't have. I switched everything over to the "Shockwave" lights and the white block was gone. Even though I didn't have the landing lights turned on, that's what was the causing the problem. I have also noticed that even with full flaps and spoilers extended, the airplane takes a long time to slow, ie; If approach on 3 mile final and entry speed is 130, if I deploy full flaps and spoilers, over the numbers the airplane is still above 100kts and full braking might bring it to a stop at the end of the rwy.

geting ntdll.dll error when i try to load it any ideas

No problems with it here. An ntdll.dll error can be caused by a wide variety of things, so I would do some "Googling" prior to singling out this addon (though it could somehow be the cause just on your system).

This is a quite well crafted freeware offering, complete with a decent amount of systems, but nothing should be too complex for the average user, as long as they're capable of reading a manual (with pictures!) and have some degree of sense and competence!

Due to the quality of the offering, it's a shame to see that this was already kicked back a couple pages without being stickied (unless I missed what would have been a very brief sticky status).

When selecting liveries, note that two are listed under manufacturer Antonov, and the rest (I believe) under PZL. I have only had a few minutes to take a look, so I still need to install that "view fix", but the model itself looks fantastic!

The read me in the "view fix" stated this is a beta. Big "Whoo Hoo" if the final product gets all of the little bits taken care of.

ps. Was there ever an A-14 built for FSX?

There's a post from the developer on the website linked below saying that while this is indeed a beta, they lost some of the files to develop further...so what you see is what you get for the foreseeable future.

Do you mean An-14? If so, there was a very nice one produced as freeware for FS2004, but I am unaware of an FSX version.

I hope it gets some repaints. AFSOC, out of Cannon AFB flies them as M-28s in a two-tone grey for Spec Ops work.

Nice model.

Yes, AN-14 ( I made a typo), the "Little Bee". I know of the one for FS9. Flew it many hours in FS9. I was just wondering if there had ever been an FSX model.

The model exists, and its' really nice IMHO. Also there is a sound mod for it, just google it. Link for FSX An14:

Well, I should introduce myself. I am an author of the An-28 package and being more precisely - I've converted only the model made by DPL for X-Plane. This is the truth that there is little chance to fix the project's bugs since I've lost latest modeldef.xml files due to my fault. Actually, I can not change a model and its textures without the latest version of the file, which included over 5000 custom lines of xml code made exclusively for the model. I can try to recover my work, but can not promise anything... Also, a version used by AFSOC is pretty different and uses different engines (Pratt-Whitney PT6) and there are small changes in fuselage as well. Perhaps, I will go further and make a new project of a M28 Skytruck (which is the version we are talking about), but again... it depends on how successful the recovering work will be. Sorry guys...
Beside this, I am a real fan of a projects coming from this site especially, the latest one - Tracker/Trader. Thanks a lot for your really great job!

Welcome Intruder. Good to have your expertise as part of this forum.

As I am a fan of low and slow, rough field workhorses, I was very impressed with your conversion of the An28. It is nearly payware quality.

If you wanted to make a Skytruck from scratch I would definitely be interested in buying it.

Keep up the good work!

Maybe too Navy version (Bryza) and board security? I can make skins too. Have many pictures from air shows.

Thank you for considering the M28. If your recovery doesnt work, I'd still enjoy an AFSOC repaint as I know how much more work would go into the changes.

Good luck and thank you again.
