There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

So I guess hence the Tutor's rolling on start up.
Hi
If you want to use it with P3Dv4 we must add a .fx at the end..startup = fx_engstrt.fxRegards
I reduced the Tutor's min_throttle_limit from 0.004000 to .002000, and the plane now loads with a minimum
idle of about 6900 rpm, and no more rolling.
But I didn't look closely at what happens to the throttle animation. I'll have to go back and do that.

No, there is no .fx extension for the effect names in the P3D aircraft.cfg files
Ok, no expert here, far from that...just noticed that no effect when starting engine on Avro planes(using P3DV4 only) and looking at effects folder
fx_engstrt.fx
fx_engstrt_cub.fx
fx_engstrt_DHC2.fx
fx_engstrt_fw190.fx
fx_engstrt_jenny.fx
fx_engstrt_ME109.fx
so, tried to change aircraft.cfg to fx_engstrt.fx and now I see some smoke, whatever the reason...wonder if P3D adds .fx at the very end because some planes have their specific engine start effect with the .fx at the end. Please enlight me. Much obliged.
Hello Ulrich and Nigel,
In the list of errors detected by P3D, I failed to report the absence of the file GLASS_S.dds.
I copied it from other planes that owned it
Best regards
Jean
Thanks a tremendous truckload again for bringing the cowlings Tutor to P3Dv4 now too, Nigel and Ulrich ! Also thanks a lot for making the needed corrections here and there, gentlemen ! Much appreciated !
A thread about Nigel's matchless masterpiece without screenies doesn't look right to me so please allow me to set that straight.
THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN, GENTLEMEN !!
Cheers,
Jan
Thanks again, Jean,
I have deleted the additionel
textures glass_s.dds and the Canopy_Fresnel_Ramp.dds

The with default comming textures are only now in use.
Last model update 24.01.2019 / 1 p.m.

Hello Ulrich,
For P3D v4 what are the files to download?
The first two (conversions) or the next two (new models)?
Best regards
Jean

Many thanks.
It's a plane very easy to fly.
More easy than my old Druine D5 turbi.
