FSX Native Douglas A-20 Havoc Released

Thanks, Milton. I thought someone was going to release a few bare metal textures to go along with these models?? Guess not. :dizzy:

It could be they are waiting for an official release of the model that supports their bare metal textures.

That is in my court. I have been busy with two other projects and let the release of the model updates slide a bit.

I have 5-6 additional models; 4 for the "C" that includes paintable plexi-nose glass plus the bare metal version, and 1 "G" model for the bare metal version.

I'll get them out today or tomorrow.

Thanks for reminding me. :)

The metal skins are in the Queue and ready for Milton's models. I'll upload those as soon as the C and G reflective models hit the library. :encouragement:

FSX ONLY A-20C Havoc Model Additions

The optional "C" model painted plexiglass nose additions have been uploaded.

There are no paints included. Look initially for paints from gman5250 and Duckie for these models.

Read the model descriptions for an understanding of the differences.

There are 3 nose gun variants and one bare metal version.

FSX ONLY A-20G Havoc Model Addition

I have now added the optional A-20G Reflective model to the library.

This package adds a new model folder to your existing A-20G aircraft installation.
You must have the original A-20 Havoc package for this new model to be of use.

You can get that original release package here:

Look for paints for this model here at SOH when they come available.

Note to painters: The a20grefl model uses the same paint kit as the base model.
The exterior textures accept the use of the diffuse alpha channels as well as normal specular and bump textures.
This bare metal capable model is based on the basic G model.

Following Up:

I've uploaded the reflective metal skins for both the C and G models in a single file. These are design specific to work with the reflective enabled models.
The files will be available following approval.

Any questions regarding the reflective textures should be directed to me, not Milton.

Hope everyone enjoys the metal look. :jump:

Started Daisy in earnest. Ironed out some problems I was having and back in town from a brief R & R.

Thanks for doing these Gordon. By chance is there a possibility I could ask you do a set of textures without the
stars-n-bars, wing walks and danger stripes. It would make using your textures as a base for new paints easier.
Also one thing I found on the fuserear is you left the paint chip layers turned on.

Thanks again.

Joe
