Reggiane is ready

The Reggiane is ready to takeoff at IS4G.

This has been in many ways a team effort.

Matthew Ivey gave me some invaluable insights during beta testing.
Rob Barendregt made a custom gauge for catapult launch, I think one of his finest.
Manuele Villa greatly helped in historical research and shaping up of the panel.

A catapult launch mission from Regia Nave Miraglia is included; a bit tricky at first but pretty easy in the end; in the case you manage not to splash an opportunity will arise to intercept some (Virtavia) Blenheims.
The real plane, once completed the mission, intercept or recon, couldn’t be rescued and had to find its way to a mainland airport.
Terrestrial version (sand-green-brown camo) wears some interesting weapons, including the Spezzoniera Nardi, tacpack enabled with just minor limitations.

Happy flyings,
Corrado

Hi Corrado

thanks for a great new model for FSX and your patience with my suggestions.

BTW your English is superb but FYI...

"Unvaluable" means without value/ useless
"invaluable" means of great value/useful

don't ask me to explain why... the English language is a funny thing. Don't worry we understood what you where meaning to say

Matt

Did this thread want renaming and making a sticky... I certainly would not have wanted to miss out on this great freeware release.

Ooops, promptly edited ...

[huub vink]

Adjusted the title and made it a sticky.

Perhaps it is wise to consider a specific announcement when a model becomes available. Now people need to go through the thread to find the link.

Cheers,
Huub

Maybe pasting it again won't hurt: IS4G mirror site

Thanks for the sticky.

Very interesting pictures (text in italian, sorry) of the real thing HERE.

Thanks Huub

Perhaps Corrado could edit his first post with a direct link to the download?

Matt.

[Bjoern]

Editing posts is not allowed after a certain time.

But this thread is just two pages long anyway. Anyone with too little patience to search for the download link will have too little patience to install and fly this bird anyway.

Huub,
I am making a remapped variant using all 1024s to serve as a basis for swedish and hungarian repaints.
I'm not planning to do those myself, this should be mostly for you guys to give it a shot.
Corrado

Quite a Snazzy trick , Catapult of the bows of a cruiser COOL

Thanks Corrado,

Currently real life needs most of my time and I haven't even been able to try the Re.2000. But your efforts are highly appreciated and I definitely will create some Swedish and Hungarian skins and As you could expect from me, there might be a Luftwaffe livery between them as well.....

Cheers,
Huub

Hi Huub
I think you can get some ideas and some badges here

www.warbirdprofiles.com

Great job, Corrado! I'm very happy that you are back.

Thanks.
I have had to walk a long path § that, in the end, brought me back here.
Corrado

§ cryptic I know but let's keep it at that.

This comment of yours didn't go entirely unnoticed, you know.
Maybe you'll find yourself more comfortable with a more appropriate variant.

Corrado

Thanks Corrado, that opens a whole new world of possible repaints again (Now if I only could find the time to do them!)

However I'm still working on this Reggiane. I know its not your model, but who knows what the future will bring.....
