FSX.Planner Question - Adding ILS to existing FSX default airport

Hello all, I would love to add an ILS to an existing airport in FSX, KEZM (eastman airport)

I really have no clue how, but it would greatly help our aviation program here at Middle Georgia College Aviation Campus.

The pilots can train on the sims at Eastman, but they can't fly the ILS because it wasn't implemented in FSX.

If anyone can walk me through it, or even do it themselves and send the files over :)whistle:) That would be AMAZING!

Regards, Diego

ok so I've made some progress

How do I input the lat and long for the glideslope and localizer? FS planner uses some diff. way of doing it

I just opened FSX Planner and clicked the "ILS Feather"
icon in the "Tools" menu. Clicking the exact location you
want it at on the airport will place it there. There was no need
to enter a Lat/Lon.

I see my lat/long format is set to degrees.decimal - ie -
51.4813765238

In the "File" menu, under "Preferences", click on the "Display
tab and you can change the Lat/Lon format to any one of 5 formats,
so if you want/need to enter or chage that data you can do so in
whatever format you happen to prefer.

so I've got the ILS in, now how do I make the change so that it works in FSX?

Thanks for all the help

Regards, Diego

Compile the modified airport and then place the resultant
BGL file into your "addon scenery\scenery" folder.
That should do it.

I get this error

ERROR: Unable to find BglComp.exe
The specified folder is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\BGL Compiler SDK
Please make sure this is correct.

I'm stumped :(

You DO have the FSX SDK installed, do you not?

It is required to be able to compile the FSX Planner file.

If you installed the FSX SDK to a location OTHER than
the default location you will have to 'point' FSX Planner
at that location.
When you select "Compile" and the Compile window
opens, make sure the entry for "BGLComp.exe Folder"
points to your FSX SDK location.

If you do NOT have the SDK installed, then you will need
to install it. For that, you will need to have FSX Deluxe
or FSX "Gold" versions.
