In FSX, if the GPS icon is not shown either in 3D or 2D cockpit modes, how do you get the GPS on screen?

Thanks,
Macdonald.

Assuming its specified in the panel.cfg (some planes dont have them btw) hold shift & pressing 1 through 9 may bring it up.

Views, Instrument Panel and a side roll out will have the GPS ....... If it's available for that plane. This will get the GPS for most aircraft.

I always smack shift-3 in the hopes that will do it, but it only happens to work out about 25% of the time depending on the AC. I usually end up doing the Views>Instrument Panel> rollout mentioned by "Harry the Hat" above. :)

datter,

If Shift+3 doesn't work, but it's in the views roll out then it should be Shift+ another number, corresponding to where it is in the roll out list.

Joe, many thanks for your help, it worked beautifully!

Ian Macdonald.
