FSX Screenshots Here!!

But a small tool like fsscreen by Matthias Holzer is very useful.

Thanks for the software suggestion, Huub.

I guess to be a little more specific, I have spent many hours, using Photoshop, reading tutorials and downloading filters and plugins trying to get those types of results, with mixed and limited success. I was hoping there was a specific site with tutorials I could visit.

None the less, I do appreciate your response and suggestion.:salute:

Hi Svicar, I assume you must be able to find some tutorial on sites dedicated to screen shot editing. There are several members here who post (edited) screenshots at specialised forums. So there must be somebody here who can help you.

The screenshot I posted are all not edited and when my judgement in corrent there are many which are not edited.

Cheers,
Huub

Creepy, those shots are truly first rate. Not to pry the magic trick from the magician but is there a tutorial site that can help this mortal conjure up some of that magic?:jump::jump:

thanks for the comment... As far as the shots go alot of it is addons like clouds, terrain and quality of ac used in the shot... Theres also an option if you have an Nvidia card that alows you to tune the digital vibrance. I have mine around 80% which seems to help out in alot of games where the color seems washed out and too dark.. Also theres a little mod that adds alittle to day time shots and the game itself... called Shader Model 3 MOD for Flight Simulator X (Final Version) by Bojote... Should be easy to find if you search the sites.. Another mod which works pretty much like the shader model 3 is called:

ENBseries Add On for FSX ..

This is a dynamical adaptive lighting effect for FSX.
This addon turns on post process engine on your videocard for calculate effects in realtime.
The main reason for this project is to simulate global illumination (occlusion, indirect lightning as parts of it) for more realistic looks of objects in games. Many games from next-gen consoles already use these effects, on personal computers one of the most famous game Crysis from Crytek also use ambient occlusion. How to see this algorithm in action? Look for nearest objects to each other, shadowing and color transfering appears between them.

Thats about it besides the fact that you need to take alot of shots and just see what you like and dont like... Mix the weather and time day around including dusk and dawn and see what goes with the shot sometimes one ac will look bad in a shot, but if you try another you find that one ac look good while another looks bad... Could be a personal taste but Ive taken alot of shots and sometimes the ones I like seem to have little effect on people and then another one I hate ends up blowing everyone else away... Like these below... I dont care for these shots, but people seem to like them...

All these shots are pretty much unedited... I have the ENB mod in but thats it... The clouds are from FLEX 2.0 other than that its the Alpasim B1B ported over in FSX... No photoshop or other magic...

Goodluck...

Creeps..

Creepy, many thanks for taking the time to give such a detailed response.

As I stated earlier I have read many tutorials but just couldn't quite get the effects I was looking for. Pehaps I should be concentrating more on getting a great shot and less effort on the post work aspect. Come to think of it, some of the best screenies I've taken required little or no post work.
Still though, many thanks for taking the time to share your techniques.:ernae:

like a dingy for the yacht....or like a motorhome with a VW bug in tow...the Taifun fits perfectly in the Queen's belly. Being virtual zillionaires in FSX we can transform our 747F into a flying motorhome...almost as cool as a flying winnebago....without the secret hyperjets:icon_lol:
