FSX Screenshots Here!!

Afaik the Kirk Olsson models are the only ones. The FS9 model looks totally dull/flat in FSX due to loosing all specularity/shine. I converted the model to native FSX to enable specular and envmap but the caviat is that the FS9 VC is lost in the process. When I have more time I want to marry the exterior model with the Restauravia Mirage III VC model, it is not an F1 but it has some similarity.

HS-8 Eightballers 614!!

What a complete joy this was to paint.. NOT:banghead:

Based on a shot circa 1989 when HS-8 was part of CVW-14 on Constellation. I've done a darker grey version too which while it matches a few shots, it looks too dark in FSX.

:biggrin-new: I like that Dave .. the 'NOT' :untroubled: , this is one Helicopter I don't have, but least I can switch on the TV and load the 'The Final Countdown' ... simply driving past the USS Nimitz at the movie beginning .. near the same as CV-64 except you can see how the cook is burning the food :biggrin-new:

:adoration:

Yeah.. I know the feeling!! It looks easy doesn't it. I've painted a few RN paints for the Mk1 and they were straight forward (RN blue) but this was a pig. For starters.. the vast majority of decals aren't in the PK.. where the gear bays pick up the SH3H extensions on the map isn't obvious and the side door white is some 20% darker than the rest of the cab to get it to match.. the lower grey line is 10% darker. There are other little 'things' too but after 2 days.. I've chosen to ignore them:dizzy: Time to retire into oblivion again:encouragement:

Outstanding! "The Final Countdown" is still one of my favourite movies ever. This is a great paint. What Sea King is this, Dave?

Keen on the navy stuff, here some shots from the french coast...

RFN Foche, an outstanding detailed freeware carrier...

Look at the mechanic in front peeping in the cockpit...

Hi Manschy:wavey:

It's the Virtavia model. I've uploaded the Eightballers paint HERE if anyone wants it.

Great shots on Foch btw. You just gotta love those models;)
