FSX Screenshots Here!!

The SSW Starfighter models impress me each time I take them for a flight. A few Super Starfighter paints from me:

1. The very first Starfighter I saw up close and real, F-104S ASA-M 5-36 when it together with 5-32 made a fuelstop at Rygge AB in 2001. Actually the Italians were often seen in Norway during the summer months with their Starfighter during the last years of service. Often going up to Bodø AB, which used to be the Norwegian Starfighter base.

2. F-104S "9-899" of the 191 Filo/9. AJU, Turkish Air force, based at Balikesir AB in 1984.

I've been a fan of the Saab Safir for a long time, and when I discovered that the only Safir that was ever imported to the antipodes was also stationed in New Guinea for a while, I just had to try my hand at the Kokoda trail, in the appropriate paint of course:
Leaving Port Moresby:

I only just made it over the pass:

but then it was all downhill

guys, come on, can't you do something about this grass?

Jankees, nice :)

I have a few real world hours in the Safir and it is really a fun hotrod! At least a lot hotter than the 172's I have flown :)

:) The Norwegian pack I made with 331 Sqn Starfighters was researched to the best of my ability and a lot of effort went into the details. Not all of them are flashy hi vis schemes (the hi vis schemes were banned by a RNoAF TO in 1972..), but they show how the schemes on the Norwegian Starfighters evolved during their service life.

No.. and I like 'em like that:encouragement:

Are there any AI files for Norwegian military bases you know of? (my apologies for taking this a little OT)

Looks good, grabbing her now.

Slight OT, appologies in advance.

Does anyone know if theres ever been a fix for the off centre wake? Love these models but its very off putting on approach as the ship isn't sailing in line with her wake :mixed-smiley-010:

The wake is fine on Ark Royal. Not noticed it off-centre before.

You get more of an off-centre effect on conventional carriers with angled flight decks. There's always a temptation to fly down the wake which is the wrong place to be!:biggrin-new:

No such problem with Ark V;)
