FSX Screenshots Here!!

Looks more like Mt. Adams on the right and Mt. St. Helens on the left. You can tell St. Helens because the top of the mountain was blown off when it last erupted. This view is looking north, you must have been flying directly over the Columbia River.

Spot on. The route was PDT, join Victor 4 to AMPLE (to avoid Boardman Bombing Range), then Victor 520 to OGYAJ and finally down into PDX; screenshot was taken shortly before the turn onto V520.

I don't know about all that, but you were flying directly over my house!

I sure miss seeing that Hurricane (G-HURR) around. Before the '07 crash, and back when it was painted that way, it had to be my favorite of all of the flying Hurricanes at the time. I recall watching some great videos, back in the day, of it operating from Breighton. I'm very glad to have it "living on" in FSX, thanks to NickB's repaint.

The other day I was just tallying the number of actively flying Hurricanes we currently have in the world, and presently there are 13 - N54FH, N943HH, CF-TPM, G-BKTH, G-CBOE, G-CHTK, G-HHII, G-HUPW, G-HURI, PZ865, LF363, F-AZXR, and VH-JFW - (along with P3717 set to fly any day now, P2902 set to fly soon this year, and a few more under restoration to fly). Still a far cry from the nearly/roughly 60 actively flying Spitfires in the world.

It was always a favourite of mine too John. Of course.. the naval connection has always seen me lean toward 7L but next to that.. equal in reality.. ALK was always firmly in the shutter:encouragement:

I didn't realise there were only 13 active Hurricanes!!

Interestingly, one of the Hurricanes currently in the early stages of restoration/build at Hawker Restorations is supposed to be finished as one of the field-mod type two-seaters, with tandem cockpits/canopies, so the general paying public will eventually actually be able to take a ride in one for the very first time (would seem to be a natural fit for some of the UK ride organizations, like Boultbee, which already provides flights in Spitfires, Mustangs, and eventually a two-seater Buchon/109).

Been a while.

Hope you guys are doing fine here. Been reading a bit every now and than, sad news about Ickie and some other members who have passed.

Fiddling a bit with FSX, my dear A2A birds ;)

Cheers,

Lennart

Looking at this paint again John, I realised the WingCdr's insignia was missing from below the front of the canopy, LH side so I've added it. You can grab a copy HERE (and anyone else who wants it too of course);)
