    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

CDR Flatley received his new Hellcat in May 1943 in the factory 2-tone Intermediate Blue over NS White and 6 position national insignia. Here it is as he received it. It was updated to the tri-color scheme and 4 position national insignia with red surround while in service aboard USS Yorktown in August 1943 before the Marcus Island raid On 31 August. I backed off on the weathering a bit but it was still a workhorse and showed it.

PAN AM Falcon 20....

...with kind permission and a bit of help too from Arild, I have started doing some texturing on his beautifully shaped Falcon 20!

hope to get a few more liveries done, when time permits...:)
here;

I had a "Monogram" plastic 1/48th scale model kit of the F6F-3 Hellcat. It had folding wings, sliding canopy, retractable main gear, the tail wheel retracted and extended with a pull of the tail hook. Rotating wheels (if you did it right) and the prop turned. Quite the model indeed.

Yep, had that one too. If you still had that one in the box it'd be worth a pretty penny to collectors.

Is a matter of fact, I do have that Hellcat, in the box. I began some light painting of the engine and interior pieces, but everything is still on the "trees", so to speak. I also have the Monogram F4U Corsair in 1/48 scale as well as the Hawker Hurricane. Both of those kits are untouched.
