FSX Screenshots Here!!

The model is the Warbirdsim FJ-1D, part of the "Mustang Tales" pack, but I've not seen that paint before. I have a different RN paint.

Yes that is the WBS Mustang Tales FJ-1D. It's a what-if that I'm working on. The paint is based off the Airfix FR.46/47 Seafire.
Still a few things to do (alpha and spec files) and then I will upload it. I am going to release 2 paints (same A/C) for both navy
models in the package, as one has bombs & rockets, the other is drop tanks.

Northern Air Cargo's Delivery To Buffalo Airways

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Buffalo Joe of Buffalo Airways bought DC-6 from Northern Air Cargo so the seller had to deliver the plane from PAFA Fairbanks International Airport three miles southwest of the central business district of Fairbanks, Alaska to PANC Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport located 4 nautical miles southwest of downtown Anchorage for Buffalo Joe to pick his new purchase up.

Nice tail view of sunrise

Excellent Joe. Download finger at the ready:encouragement:

I've been toying with an idea to do similar for the WOP3 Spit but am being put off by the W3's rounded spinner.. early Seafires being based on the Mk5. We'll see. I've looked at the PK and that's as far as I've got!!:untroubled:

I have actually made an early Seafire paint for the A2A Spitfire IIb, but at least in P3D V3.1 it is completely unsuited for carrier flying. The legs are breaking just of the wave and sea motion when standing parked on the carrier... It breaks both gear legs and propeller when landing..lol the last part is actually quite realistic. I suspect the gear breaking values are part of the advanced coding of that model, any ideas if it is possible to change it to something realistic for a Seafire?

Hmm.. I suspect the damage threshold in Accusim is the culprit. Mighty interested in the paint anyway:encouragement:

EDIT: Lovely paints Jens. They snuck in while I was typing this!!

I just picked up my Corsair from 14 ARD After being shot to hell, heading back to the Solomons, to dish out some punishment.

Extract from the Corsair Flight Manual , ...

" Should the engine cease to operate during a flight , engage the wing flapping mechanism , refer above screenshots ,
return to base as soon as is practible ."

Cheers

Don't let the spinner put you off, according to my 'Big Boys Book of the Spitfire' just about anything was possible.
And after all, for every 'Authentic' repaint in FS there are dozens of 'Fictional' examples.
At least the ugly Rotol prop (as worn by some Hurricanes) seems to have been overlooked for Spitfires!
I built a fair number of Seafires back when I was a member of IPMS and hacking up those grossly inaccurate Airfix 1:48 Spitfires became second nature.
My favourite Seafire, the LF.Mk.III in BPF colours.
:triumphant:

You're right mate. I started looking for paints for the WOP3 model as soon as I bought it (before actually) and noted that many depict a MkV.. not the MkI/MkII which put me off a bit. I like to try and keep paints as authentic to a model as possible but I guess sometimes.. you've gotta go with what you've got;)
