Are you using an addon contrail effect? Your contrails look different than mine. I also have a large B-17 bomber formation that goes from Basingbourne to St Nazaire...great minds think alike, lol. It's unfortunate that the ACG AI B-17 has that drop-down problem with the left main gear.

Interesting idea. Haven't yet tried the night textures for France-VFR, so will give it a go.

(Don't think I have any additional contrails installed)
 
Well, just tried a night flight over France-VFR, and the ground lighting is awful and VERY sparse!

Tried ramping the LOD up 8.5 but it made no change. Can a French speaker please check out their website to see what they say about it?
