Flyboys I think?

Flyboys indeed. When you haven't seen the movie don't worry. Its purely entertainment. The facts which are historically correct are the fact that there once was a war and both parties used aircraft.......

In the movie there is one red Fokker with crossed swords painted on the fuselage (shown in the original screenshot). Most likely these swords were based on the swords which were painted on the Albatross D.II flown by VFw Erich Kohler from Jasta 9. The Fokker in the movie was flown by the fictional pilot Franz Wolferd a not so bad "bad guy". The black Fokker in the movie was flown by the non-existing "Black Falcon". The ultimate bad guy, who of course was killed by the ultimate good guy, at the end of the movie.

If real life could only be that simple................

Cheers,
Huub

Where did you find those and who it the Dev?
TIA

They are the two WWI types I enjoy flying the most in FSX, as they have the most challenging/life-like flying habits (they don't fly like standard aircraft, and you really must work to fly them well).

The Fokker Dr.1 is by NeoQB and you can find it at Flightsim.com, file name: neoqb_dr1.zip
There are also a bunch of repaints for it available at Flightsim.com, including the one in the shots, file name: n864dr.zip

The Sopwith Camel is available here: http://www.classicwings.net/sopwith_camel.html

Holding formation in either one of them is quite a challenge.

A private repaint of John Terrells excellent NAS Minneapolis skins for the AFA FG-1D Corsair. This time as NAS Oakland.
