Super sweet repaint Steve.

Open your post in edit mode. if I recall right, the attachment image (as opposed to the embedded one.), will show as a thumbnail below left of your message box.

Select that attachment and double click it. You should see an X in the top right to delete the attachment. Not intuitive, but I've had to do this a few times.

Thats generally how you do it, but Im working from memory here.
