..............will You upload this livery ?

I think I will Manuele, but perhaps it will be a double-pack. As I started to do a repaint based on the old ESCI kit:

Painted in the post 1943 colours AMT-4 and AMT-11 it looked like this:

However than I ran into the picture below, which showed there was no flag on the tail. I also learned that the aircraft was delivered in Russia not before April 1945. Which is why I assume it was most probably not repainted, but still in the original factory colours.

Cheers,
Huub

Works for me DL:encouragement:

Is that rain effect under the Phantom? I noticed similar the other day (you can see it on my Gannet shots with the aircraft on deck.. at certain angles). The runway was wet at Culdrose and I appear to have taken it with me!! A-N-other FSX bug!

Thanks Dave (and thanks for not grilling me over the wrong "boat" - it's just the '66 Vic, is sooo yummy to look at ... can't help it!)

The blue smoke is my touchdown effect - borrowed from the AS F-105. I simply loathe the stock grey "I touched down in a foot deep puddle of grey sludge" effect. So apart from some addon aircraft that have a nice, "puff" touchdown effect (I think the RFN Etendards had a nice one, I think the Carenado birds do too, and a few others), I replace the touchdown effect on all my planes with this effect. I like the light blue smoke colour, and while I wish it was smaller still, and more diffuse, it's still way better than stock, in my view. I've never ever seen a real life touchdown on dry tarmac that produced as enormous a cloud of touchdown smoke as the stock effect, so every single one of my planes gets that treatment.

I don't know what the funky mist is on your Gannet shots. I don' t have it on mine, so I can't help there.

It reminds, me, that I wonder why some of my carriers have a nice steam effect coming from the cat area and others don't .... I wish they all had it ... :pop4:

Hi DL:wavey:

The steam effect can be added with MCX but if the model has animations.. you stand a good chance of naffing them up.

The funky smoke effect was noticed on the ground.. prop wash on a very wet runway. Took off.. flew around a bit then landed on and noticed in on the carriers deck under the Gannet. Thought it was kinda cool. Unfortunately.. it was still there when I took off again!! I'll have to try it with another prop in the rain to see what happens:encouragement:
