FSX SP2/A T-33-A uploaded

Radioman123

SOH-CM-2025
A native code FSX SP2/A T-33A has been uploaded. It can be found under "Whats New" or FSX American Aircraft. Many thanks to Piglet for the use of the original source code and Falcon409 for the use of his textures. Please read the 2010 README to minimize problems. The model was extensively tested in FSX A with a VISTA OS.

To make use of the model in FSX A just change the sound file from the default Lear45 sounds to alias the FA-18 sounds.

Fantastic!!! Thank you very much! Finally a T-33 I can load in my sim and not have the frame rates nose dive.

Now all I have to do is get my panel working in this bird and I can find out how good it flies.

Thanks again for all the hard work in bringing this fine aircraft into FSX! It is greatly appreciated.

Regards, Mike Mann

Flies great!! Just added my custom Cab file for the gauges, changed the panel.cfg, swapped the sound folder to the J33 one I had and this is one sweet aircraft.

Many thanks to all who were involved in this project!

Outstanding, this is a very welcome surprise...I have been flying a jury-rigged T-33A from FS9 and this being updated for FSX sp2 and acceleration is just so ...well.....Right On....Thank you very much...the textures look great and it flies perfectly...Thanks for your hard work on this.

Thank you guys for all the good work and giving me a very good reason to drag the old T-Bird out of the hangar :salute: Doing so, I found this special EW-133 version on my harddrive, cannot remember where I found it (maybe on SOH or Flightsim.com):

Piglet_EW133.jpg

"EW-133" was the unofficial designation of Canadain CT-133's configured to simulate air defence threats for training. EW-133's carried jamming pods, and ,often, chaff dispenser pods.

Did you also get the source file for this model from Tim?

cheers, Henk.

You sir, are awesome!

Now what else does one need to get the best out of this model? Apart from Ed's updated textures...

I guess that'll do in terms of FDE and sound... <center>FSX - FSX Modern Military </center> <center>FSX USMC TO-2/TV-2/T-33B

FSX USMC TO-2/TV-2/T-33B. This is a rework of Tim Conrad's Lockheed T-33A for FSX. Includes new .air file, new .cfg and new sounds. The main texture bitmap for the outside has been resized. The USN/USMC operated the T-33 until 1976. The original designation for the USN T-33's was the TO-2, and then changed to TV-2 and in 1962 changed again to T-33B. Includes four variants, a TO-2 assigned to VMIT-20 (Marine Instrument Training Squadron), MCAS El Toro in 1952. The second variant is a TV-2 assigned to HMS-33 (Headquarters and Maintenance Squadron) MCAS El Toro in 1958. The third is a T-33B assigned to VMF-321 in 1964. And the final version is a T-33B assigned to the MARTD (Marine Aviation Reserve Training Detachment) at NAS Andrews in 1976. This last one is painted to represent the last T-33 used by the USMC. MARTD Andrews retired their last one in early 1976. For this file you will need T-33_PPP.ZIP for the gauges. Tested in FSX SP2 Acceleration. By John Detrick.

If you have some pictures. It can be easily modelled as the source is now in very good shape. The model is set up so older textures are usable without modification.

Thanks for the updated model. It looks fantastic in sim. I would also strongly recommend the flight dynamics update from the USMC version. What I did was to install the USMC version, Ed's textures, and the model files from the new FSX version.... works great.

Thanks again!

FDE and sound packages

Sounds good.

Regarding the sound package, is there a good package available? I only know of the older Skysong Soundworks package for the T-2 from 2002. As these are copyrighted materials, I could only point to the default package in the initial distro.

Try asking Jan....

....aka "Javis" if he will let you replace the cockpit crew with his pilot figure from the Section F F-86 series. Jan was going to let me do it, and I was going to try and work on this bird (to include adding a travel pod), but I've been on the road steadily since I had the idea.

Replacing the crew would do a lot for the model, I think...
