FSX SP2/A T-33-A uploaded

cant wait to try my texture packages on it :)

Your paints look pretty good, the unpainted Cold Lake, Downsview ones anyway. The Red Knight and Shark are kind of glossy, but reasonable.

The swap-in of the EW-133 looks okay but the canopy glass seems a bit different for that "model.1", and no gauges show on that model's panel, but I think those are quite useable exterior textures otherwise.

I think most the old repaints will work just fine. I'm using one from Ed DesRoches and it has no problems.

For us guys that are totally ignorant about, "Whats New" can somebody point me where I could find the T-33? It would be much appreciated.

Radioman123, can you tell me what the difference is between the new model files:

model
model.camo
model.fis
model.rok

I tried to figure out which model fits best with the repaints I collected over the years but I could not see the difference. What am I missing?

Another question: For the red and white TV-2 from John Detrick I want a shiny look but I guess that will not happen because there is no specular mapping. Am I right?

Thanks for your help, Henk.

Differences in the models - reflectivity settings

All

The differences are in the reflectivity because the model is in FSDS 3.5.1 and the only choices are reflective or matt. I could not get FSDStweak to work with this model for a number of reasons. I am looking at a v2 but that is a longer term project to fix some things including the reflectivity. This model was a rather quick rebuild (about 2 months) to fix some things and convert to FSX SP2/A/

camo -- fully flat -- applied to NASA and FAC
rok -- fuselage and wings -- fully reflective, tanks -- fully flat
fis -- aircraft fully reflective

default -- inside of tanks - matt, outside fully reflective, antiglare matt, rest of fuselage, reflective.

I hope this helps some repainters chose the right version to use.

TV-2 shiny

Regarding a shiny TV-2, I would chose the fis model, which is fully reflective. I would use DDS textures for this.
