FSX Standard and FSX Deluxe

I have the FSX Standard Edition installed . Can I now install my FSX Deluxe version on
" top " of the Standard Edition ?

Or do I have to uninstall the Standard Edition , then install the Deluxe version ?

i think you have to uninstall the standard then install the delux, which is a good idea anyway

I would definitely uninstall first, I'd back up your simobjects, effects, gauges and fsx.cfg and scenery.cfg files if you have add-ons though so that you don't have to reconfigure everything again.

Thanks to you both for the quick replies . I guess I'll have to do the uninstall thing .

I thought the Deluxe was an upgrade or addon to the Standard version , when I
bought it .
