FSX: The 1940 Fokker T.5 bomber released

That's interesting Marijn! Do you still have it ;)

Guys (especially beta people), here's a question, regarding new floor textures: do these look better than the ones in the beta? (raw shot from blender)

I'm rearranging the interior textures... Lots of work.

Yep, the model is still alive, somewhere in a dark corner of the attic. It had working ailerons and rudder and so on, when you moved them the stick in the cockpit would move as well. Or you could stick your finger through the (open) window and work the stick itself:encouragement:
He also built a Lockheed 14 Electra, a Dc-4, a really huge Dewoitine 520 (like 1.60 in spanwidth) and a billion other smaller or bigger models, warships, planes ( Fokker d-21, A fokker G-1, Saab Safir) All built from cardboard, paper and wood. You can imagine how much fun I had as a kid:jump:. Later on we worked on a scaled up version of the Veritas cardmodel of the Karel Doorman. It turned out to be almost 2 meters long. But not as big as the one in the Airforce Museum in Soesterberg though!

I showed him your T-5 on the computer and he went nuts, now I have to install flight simulator on his own computer so he could try it out:untroubled:
Will have to wait a bit though, maybe he can start with the D-21

@Marijn, great to hear, very nice!

@Cees and Ferry, yes, that's what I thought as well. When I made the default textures, I was too focused on the eventual color it should have (Rubbol AZ linol), so I spoiled all details. Now, I remade them and also revised the mapping. This results in a doubling of the resolution of the main surfaces in the nose section. It's a major step though and therefore it will take long. But yes, among others that's what I wanted to find out with the beta.

Hi all,

I'm reworking the mapping and texturing of the interior and this is the progress so far:

Observer's operational seat cushion. I'm getting the hang of texturing a bit more now, but it still needs improvement. Any constructive comments?

I also found out that my common way of processing AO was incorrect, so I switched to another one. Improvement!

Cheers, Daan

Thanks Huub! So, I keep going on leather textures. By the way, this is the radio-operator's seat, I don't have a clue how it looked so I came up with this, long ago. Now refined the cushions a bit more.

Just to keep my thread alive: a redo of the oxygen unit.

I am making progress, but it's hardly recognisable. Just redoing all interior textures...

Ahh, the Munerelle! Standard equipment in most Dutch warbirds! I recognise that construction number..... :biggrin-new: Somebody here at the forum was born that year......

Looking really good Daan! The T.V must be a very complex model and there isn't too much reliable information available.

Thank you for doing this model,
Huub
