Try hiding or renaming the FSX Config file. That usually resets everything.

If it works, then give your update file another chance. If it does it again, try Lewis' route with the logbook fix.

Hello guys i'm currently at home and cant look were the log book file is on this pc. Can someone please post it for Egypt.

the basics call for you to delete it and it is re-generated during next start up I believe.

I remember re-installing the whole of FSX back in SP1 days due to not knowing about that damn log book bug.

For the logbook error, look in My Documents/Flight Simulator X Files. The file you will be looking for is logbook.bin. You can rename it, however, you will lose all of your flight hours and awards/Mission completions.

There is a utility that will correct the errors without losing everything called logbookedit which can be found at the other flight sim websites.
