• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Fun with the Freighters

Prop Fix

This is a prop fix I used for that DC6 Freighter and it looks better IMHO. This one was made by Banana Bob a while back.

I suggest that if you do use this to make a backup of the prop texture first. Then rename this attach one to match the name of the one you backed up.

The name of the original one that you are looking for and want to change is called: blurred_prop.bmp

All I did was say I did not get the same result as you guys did. Then you accuse me of not reading the FAQ.

No where in my replies did I personally attack or blame you personally for the lack of functionality. So, by you saying you wont help out anymore is a bit rash, IMO. Why not help us all out and explain better than CalClassics did?

This community (flight simming) is already too small, and sadly a bit pompous in some cases. Without helping each other with small problems, the hobby gets smaller as people turn away from it.

I wish you well flying the DC-6. Maybe someday the aircraft will be assembled into a more direct install package and I too will get some time flying it. Until then...

Look,

I had some issues with it myself and it was no piece of cake to get it running OK? I had no one to turn to help; I had to use my noggin and figure it out for myself.
I almost deleted it myself and was going to put it all behind me. But I had my ah ha moments and they paid off.
All I intended on doing was just becoming a messenger and let people know about this addon, nothing more nothing less period; end of story. I don't know why you just
didn't contact the cal classic help department (email a contact there maybe) they do have a forum there and you could ask them people.

No, you did not blame me for your problems. I am not too good working with people and solving issues such as this.

I am currently involved with the imminent death of my Father who is dying of lung cancer and only has a few months to live - he is a WW2 vet and if he lives till Dec will be 90 yrs old.
It's not your problem it is mine. But I do have other issues to deal with and like I said before, you need to use the link and ask your questions

http://www.calclassic.com/#contact

That's about the best I can do.

Happy Trails.

Grateful to FSX68 for the HU.

Been a fan of and poster at Calclassics for years and always go back their great propliners. Tom Gibson is a gentleman and tirelessly helpful to all that ask for his assistance. They are pretty dedicated to FS9 but he kindly makes their aircraft FSX portable. I have had my share of glitches but always very much worth a little extra troubleshoooting that might be involved (Manfred's Connies have had some more issues for me than the DC's but are amongst the most rewarding freeware to fly + I like a little tinkering as part of our hobby). Nice planes and nice people there and I'd like to think they feel the same way about all of us here.
