Jason I think it can to be ported over just like a CFS2 model, not an expert however. That is a Mathias question.

Depends on what you mean by "like a CFS2 model".
That would involve hacking the mdl and re-importing into a 3d program and that's forbidden. :icon_lol:
Having said that, no it's not possible to use the FSX mdl in CFS3 unless you are me and have access to the source file. :bump:

Looks very good...

I'm not in the market for FSX; I've tried FS2002, and in all honesty, I can't see it. Not my thing at all. No guns, no bombs, no enemy...

Well, seems there's always something to be desired.
In CFS3, turn it as you want, flight/engine management is not existent, making the term "flight simulation" quite a bit of a stretch.
In FSX the more recent addons are pretty sophisticated in that area.
We really need a new combat sim that gets both right, flying and combat.

I'm with you Nigel, if you can't blow it up or destroy things with it, gets boring in a hurry. Mathias I mean't port over as those who have source files have done with CFS2 models. Not someone hijacking someone elses model.

Couldn't agree more!

I've seen some of the gang flocking over to Strike Fighters - and there, engine management for prop-driven aircraft is inexistent. No pitch, mixture or boost controls, start there. It's very good - gregoryp says better - for the actual flight model itself (or so I understand) but when you don't have the necessary controls for a period piston engined aircraft, then it isn't the right platform for a WW2 sim.

CFS3 does that better, despite the lower degree of AI participation...
