Thanks for the heads up! Downloading now. Can't wait to try it out with my new Thrustmaster Warthog.:jump:

Sorry for the questions. I have heard about the superbug for some time . What is this TacPack .

Honestly I can't believe that this plane has pretty much dropped off the face of the earth on SOH. It is by far the best military jet available for MSFS. Nothing else comes close.

If you don't have this plane yet, GET IT WHILE ITS ON SALE. :salute:

:D

just got it, was wanting it for a long time, and since i just got b-day money, now seemed like the best time :jump:

Wow! This booger has more beeps and chirps than a Star Wars house droid. I'd have to say this is the best jet for FSX military or civilian thus far. It is simply stunning in every way:ernae:

Its got all the options, no doubt!

Indeed this thing is top-shelf!!
still working my way through the manual on daily flights.

FYI register for the VRS forums/read often
A wealth of info there, well organized. helped me get through a few rough learning curves.

The full SP1 for the Superbug has yet to be released.
Meanwhile, you can get the **Latest build** by visiting the VRS forums "Announcements" section. Follow the steps to get the 1.0.9.7 build, download, & install. The ACM will tell you what version you have.

I'll be looking for y'all on VATSIM...especially when the TacPack comes out.. :)

I'd almost go after it, but today my truck decided to eat $600 out of my meager budget. [LINESTRIKE]The thing I'm wondering about a bit is how you "found" something like this on the forum that you administer...

Just come out and say the company you work for is having a cool deal at the start.[/LINESTRIKE]

Edit: I seem to have mis-interpreted the original post!

???

Hey fella I am not the administrator of VRS or any other forum
I don't work for VRS or even in the software industry!

I "found" this because I am a registered SuperbugX owner and simply visit their forums..like lots of other people.

You wanna toss me static for sharing the word on a good deal...then perhaps I should let you find these little "gems" yourself, eh? After all...I am not making a penny off it.

I go by what I read. You could have done some editing so that your post did not make it look like you are affiliated with the group. If I screwed up then I am sorry for the mis-read.

I wouldn't care if they did work for the company, as a great deal should be shown to all, regardless of the motivation. The VRS Superbug is as others have stated, one of the finest pieces of military hardware available for FSX. I bought the initial release and it is phenominal!

Anyway, I think you might have seen Varmints signature at the bottom of the copied post and assumed the poster is Varmint. Twitfish isn't Varmint. Anyway, check out their website. As stated, it's full of great info and discussion of their TACPAC.

Matt

Yeah, I figured that out after the fact.

I have edited the original bungled post, and I have also sent the OP a personal apology via PM.

I want this thing but don't want to have to lose my force feedback controls. Is there still no workaround for that?

FSForce. That's MY workaround ;)

Stock force feedback in MSFS is highly illogical, and frankly, terrible.

************************************

Folks, if you don't have this plane, GET IT! It is everything everyone says it is, and a bag full of golden beans.

LOL, I thought Varmint had changed his screen name initally too. It is a great buy though and would re-emphasize the purchase if funds are available and military jets are your fancy. Heck, even if military jets are not your fancy, it is quite a work of art.

How is it on frame rates? I have a 2.4 pentium dual core or core duo processor and a 9500gt 1gb video card. As a frame of reference my system runs the warbirdsim p-51 pretty good. Locked fr's at 30 generally runs above 20 in non-metro areas. Just wondering been thinking about this one.
Thanks

I can't say I'd recommend it for a system like that. I wouldn't recommend running it on anything less than an overclocked C2Q and GTX260. She's not quite as heavy as the PMDG MD-11 on my system, but she isn't much better either.

I have both fs9 and fsx version and love this great F-18 rendition. There is just not anything like it. PMDG style systems with a stunning model. Best thing about it is THE flight dynamics and fly-by-wire implementation that is STUNNING! so buy it, you won't regret it!!!!

Thanks for the info Kiwi. I think I shall pass on it, besides I'm having too much fun with p-51's right now:salute:
