Warnings on repaints developped for the v1.2 release
Changes have been made to v2.0 release / v1.2 on some textures files have moved to avoid duplicates files (I gained more than 350 MB in this way) and take in accoun the new model AN75x.
The PaintKit directory provide new files needed for AN75x aircrafts.
That’s why the repaints found on FS.TO may not be compatible :
- aircraft.cfg has changed to take in accont the sound files locations
- texture.cfg has been modified (paths should be checked),
- the location of some common textures files has changed.
Common texture files are now found with this two lines:
...
fallback.1=..\texture
fallback.2=
..\..\gas-aircraft-stearman-pt-17\texture
..
So if you feel able, you can check the
texture.cfg of your repaint and adapt it without forgetting to regenerate the layout.json which is indispensable.
Anyway,
the sounds of different planes having changed,(Wwise packages) it affects the file
aircraft.cfg which is included in each repaint so liveries v1.2 must be updated otherwise the sounds will not work
I just published in the
Resources section the repaint "
Cannibal Queen" that Jankees had started for the Super Stearman and that I adapted to the
AN75N1 which is actually the exact model of the real plane. Sometime is required for validation.
This repaint can be used as a basis to adapt the v1.2 repaints
Sorry, but when Asobo makes changes to the internal code, it is the third-party developers who must adapt.
@jmbiii
Retry with an empty Community because it looks like an edge effect with another addon that must use the same GUID as the one attached to our effect.
When I create a new effect for an aircraft, I always use a new GUID generated with
GUID Generator to be sure not to use a GUID from another creator and avoid this kind of problem.

It is indeed the lamp in the aft cockpit that illuminates the co-pilot despite the occluder and anti-collision plans. These two invisible planes have been added to avoid when one is in the rear cockpit to click on elements of the front cockpit or other elements that are under the plane (the areas of clik of the tiedowns or wheels chocks for example). For now I have found nothing to stop the rays of lights.
To activate the cockpit cover, use the tablet (first line of the list displayed).
