OK, Iknow so don't yell at me but how do you get rid of the pitot cover?

LouP

Never mind, figured it out.

Simple, you can use two methods:
- using the toolbar interface and make the pre flight (at point 3 you can clik on it)
- using the EFB tablet (click on the small cart instructions at the top right of the cockpit)and select flam pitot.

All is designed for the user and his comfort :santahat:

Woohoo! Love those GAS S-O launch sales! Bought!

Of course, I saw it just as I really needed to be going to bed. But had to see it after all the excitement GAS and Lagaffe had built. So, quick flight before bedtime!

Um, super quick, turns out. Detailed description of flight:
1) Take off. The sound is fantastic!
2) Oh, no pilot in FS2024. When you fly it for real tomorrow, check the manual as I think Lagaffe said he has that solved.
3) Oh, look! My intentional full-throttle abuse of the engine is showing the engine realism! It's died! can I make the runway? Nope, but there's a field just outside the airport. Success!
4) I better get outta this thing before the fire spreads!

Model looks fantastic and sounds are awesome. Looking forward to flying it again after a proper manual scan. And sleep. :)

Bought it just a few seconds ago.
Thanks a lot for the excellent job you guys did on this aircraft !

In both versions of MSFS the a/c loads without pilot or passenger figures. They are added during the pre-flight process using the EFB provided in the model. We are aware that the EFB interface in 2024 appears dim in bright lighting. It's an Asobo thing.
Pilot Avatars
Here is a video of the process by which to add the pilot and passenger figures to the model. It is the same in version 2024 as 2020.
The pilot avatars are fixed 3D models associated with the aircraft 3D model they are not animated. They are assigned in the cockpit using the cockpit EFB. Due to coding constraints imposed by Asobo/MS these are the default avatars for both MSFS 2020 and 2024 and can not be changed. This is the only current solution to provide pilot figures in MSFS 2024 at the cost of removing the 2020 option of customization of pilots. If, in the future, an alternative solution is found restoring the 2020 option, we will consider an update.

For those who like to program everything on their keyboard or joystick, I add information in case:

There are no special controls: everything is connected on standard shortcuts or manipulable with the mouse.
The only exception to this rule is a piece of code I intentionally left for those who would like to use a particular shortcut for locking the control of the controls.

<! -- Hack to use a joystick button to command Control Lock -->
(A:TAILHOOK POSITION, Bool) 1 == if{ 1 (>L:GAS_CONTROL_LOCK, Bool) } els{ 0 (>L:GAS_CONTROL_LOCK, Bool)}
So you can use the shortcut associated with TAILHOOK to lock/unlock it.

If other orders interest you, I can occasionally modify the XML files to take them into account but it is not necessary "not ask to much" and this will be studied on a case by case basis.

Additional deliveries:
Other info, Jankees had prepared a specific livery for the famous aircraft "Cannibal Queen". To be more close of reality, as this aircraft isn't a IB75A but a AN75N1 I have compiled a specific model 3D (I have publish a Blender screen of it) which is more appropriated for this repaint. We are thinking about how to distribute it ... (to follow).

As far as I am concerned, I made also two special repaints, one for the "Red Bull" (aircraft in use currently) and another XXX which for now will remain secret and that I would distribute as freeware (the repaint) as soon as I could ... (to follow)

Thank you for this. Now to go fly!

Actually I typed this yesterday, but didn't hit "post reply." :geek:

will be keeping an eye out for your Cannibal Queen release.(y)

@DennyA,
For the display of pilots, you will have to go through the EFB tablet and check the two check-boxes on the bottom of the first sheet of the tablet. ;)

Thanks, guys! That was totally on me, wanting to go for a quick flight without reading the manual. But it's an indicator how excited I was, because I was exhausted! I really appreciate the effort that goes into good documentation, and the Super Stearman's docs are really well done and useful.

After a good night's sleep, documentation read, pilot installed, engine not exploded. :)

No worries. Love the screenshots. Now a little secret. The livery your flying is a tribute piece for a “fan” whose, Jason, whose friend and mentor passed before could complete it. N46999. Pictures of the plane below

Sometimes feel as though I am the Chuck Wagon at the back of the wagon train, can't see stuff for the dust - however, is this a dual MSFS 2020 & 2024 release?
You put it in one or the other, or can fly it in both??
Looks superb.
