German helicopters

SOH Staff
Hi again

Stuck in the groove of German helicopters ( must be obsessive-compulsive ) so have made an attempt at the Focke Achgelis Fa 223 - here's a couple of pics - no panel or vc yet

I think the U.S. had something like it, but don't know if it was pre-war or
post-war. Looks very good.ckissling

Lookin' good indeed. I had one in FS 2002 as I recall and it was fun to flitter about in. Ought to be great in CFS 2. It apparently could carry a respectable load and I recently saw footage of one carrying sling loaded cargo to mountain positions in WW II.

Fa 223

I pinched the Rocktser's load from his HUP for this pic - and as the US and British forces got one each ( all that were left ) this is what they looked like - the British one was flown to England by its German crew for evaluation but unfortunately crashed after only three flights.

Having a couple of problems with the vc so things might slow up a bit

Sling Load...................

Good to see the sling load in still getting some use........................

I started helicopter fever with the Sikorsky UH-34 Choctaw............

I see you have caught the CFS2 (low stall aircraft) Helicopter bug ........

A joystick, throttle, and rudder pedals are really need in CFS2 for flying helicopters.................

I think a better UH-34 for CFS2 would be welcome.............I liked the stinger mod.........but the model is very dated.......

I was also interested to see..............you bringing back the helicopter pads on ships.........I had a great time landing helicopters on those small pads ......on a moving ship..........and a challenge.........

I recommend ....."Vietnam Med Evac"...............only other sim that I know of dedicated to the Huey and landing on ships and rescue.

Fa 223

Well, this baby is more than just a hoot. She could be addicting.

Great job Baldy!

Here she is on a secret mission in Norway. Something to do with heavy water (D2O)...

Fa 223

Talking of secret missions - had to cross over to the 'dark side' ( fs2002 ) for this to see if you-know-who who lived nearby wanted to escape.

Has anyone done this scenery for CFS2 ?

Say WHERE ?

Rockster-Deuce;

I am unable to find any listing(s) for that "hanging basket load" OR your chopper stuff... can you point me in the correct direction for a download link, plz ?

Rocktser stuff

In Simviation - the load comes with his Choctaw which is on page cfs2mod7

baldy

the trouble with importing FS2000 scenery is that it's all a bit modern
