Anyhooo...my mistake, get Golden Wings 3 by Bill Lyons, for a better WWII environment and Bill Ortis aka Lionheart's Operation Valkyrie for some extra German scenery/ac/vehicles/missions etc.

Yes I know GW3 and Valkyrie. The first one is more or less limited to the States and Carribean. And the sceneries depict the beginning Thirties. Valkyrie includes Tempelhof and North African airfields, and that's all. But what about the rest of Germany, France, Italy and so on? The most WWII airfields which could be found are those for Great Britain. Quite insufficient to create a reasonable war time environment.

Hi Bernard,
GW3 actually covers world wide, and removes a lot of the larger and more commercial buildings from the environment, tones down colours and windows etc, not perfect but it's a start.

I understand where you're coming from, there are few good German airfields, Ian Elliots Westerland-Sylt is excellent, and you can also use some CFS2 airfields.

The MJ DC-3 for FS9 is still alive, well, and readily available. There are also quite a few Repaints for her as well.

This is many repaints for the FSX model aswell
They are very easy to convert (2 bitmap "fuselage and wings" only to convert) as this is not a FSX native model :adoration:
Convert = Open with DXTbmp send to pic editor flip texture ... save as 1024 ... and convert to DXT3 with DXTbmp
After put those in a copy of a FS2004 repaint and allow overwrite .. and edit aircraft.cfg accordingly

I replied on my phone & my fingers are big on a small keyboard that I cannot see so well.
I love my Golden Wings with all its period addons.

I was thinking the whole day.. Lionheart did the amazing 'Bugatti' missions as well. A nice add for Golden Wings & Operation Valkyrie.
