Germans in Vietnam and German Rifles!

Deutsche Waffen

Jaxon,

Thanks for the great coverage of the German Army weapons. I've always been a fan of them. I enjoy shooting the German Mauser rifles of World War One and Two. When in good shape, they are as accurate as any modern rifle.

Here is my son shooting a selection of German WWII weapons at a friend's place in the South-West of America. Damn shame it's such a long drive to get down there.

1. MG 42 (7.92 X 57)
2. STG 44 (7.92 X 33)
3. MP 40 (9 X 19mm)

The rumor was, if given cause to hit a village during search and destroy, there wouldn't be a chicken left alive.

The ROK army was feared by the North Vietnamese, they had standing orders to not engage them unless they had an overwhelming advantage in force.

I believe that either 15 or 17 nations total were involved on the allied side during the war,I can't remember the exact figure.
