Getting Started with ENB Series or SweetFX

SOH-CM-2022
All,

I've decided to try fiddling with ENB Series or SweetFX to try and make FSX look a little better, but I'm having trouble figuring out where to start. Does anyone have any guidance? A general "primer" would be great. Thanks!

ENB is quite simple to use but requires your FSX to run in DX9 mode (the DX10 preview option in the graphics settings must be disabled).
Is your FSX running in DX9 mode ?
If so, I would recommend the ENB mod "sunlight" made by REX. It was downloadable on their forums but I cannot find the link anymore.
I have uploaded it here:
http://sapdaube.free.fr/fsx/REX_ENB_SUNLIGHT.zip

This archive contains a few files to be placed directly in your FSX main folder. On next start, you should see a big difference in the colors.

Thanks, Daube! I Downloaded the file and am experimenting now. It's already a huge improvement!
