Glass problem

Hi

I have a glass problem exterior on G8N1 Renzan (RITA). I change to "Cockpitglass MDL file" downloaden separate. But to no avile.

Tested the aircraft in FS9 (FSGW3) and on that sim, the glasses is OK.

Need som help with the MDL file.

No - there is no separate glass file in the texture folder. I think is in the MDL file in the model folder and I don´t know how to edit that.

I think the clue is in the screenshot. FS9 uses DXT3 bitmaps. The alpha channel is used for "shine". In CFS 2, the same alpha channel is used for transparency, & can give some strange looking results.


Where did you get this a/c from? If you let me know, I'll try & take a look at the textures.
 
Glass problem G8N1 Renzan

I´m downloaded the G8N1 Renzan from SOH archives Warbirds CFS2 "Peperez", page 6.

Downloaded also "Cockpitglass" MDL file, but that file not fix the glasses in CFS2.

Well - I downlodad and install the "Final" version of G8N1 Renzan

But I have the same issue "Black" windows in exterior wiev.

Maybe is a driver problem ?

I have Leadtech GF 8800GTX and the latest Nvidia driver with Nvidia Inspector and a DXTbmp program.

But when there is no separate glass bmp file I can´t fix the glass problem.

OK! I didn't bother to download, 'cos it said it fixed it!

Interesting you say black windows in the exterior view - you can see through the "glass" & out the cockpit yourself then?
 
Yes- from the inside of the 2D cockpit it is OK. There in no Virtual cockpit.

I did some tweaking on a couple of the files that are at the dl link in post #6.
