Pilots engaging in aerobatics wear parachutes, even in gliders. It's a world standard. They were with Redbull, who's had to insure their teams' demonstrations. The insurance furthers my speculation that they are following the world standards for aerobatic flight.

I could be wrong, but I'd be very surprised if they weren't.

The video shows at least one of the pilots wearing parachutes. I still think the skydiver was in the least amount of danger out of the three.
