Thanks... But despite what they claim on Southfront.org the picture doesn't show a Type 55 but instead shows a Type 52D - the Type 55 has a very different and stealthy chimney block and antena masts.

Well having naval action on the high seas of FSX & P3DV4 is much appreciated. Haze Gray Studios did a big leap in that direction last year for the US Navy...
You won't get a complete navy here as in Ripcord's US Navy project, but you will get the most significant units from the Royal Navy, the Brazilian Navy, the Chilean Navy, the Royal Danish Navy, the Royal Norwegian Navy, the Chinese Navy, the Spanish Navy plus diverse units from Thailand, Taiwan, Egypt, Romania, Germany, France, Moroco, Pakistan, Canada, and even a few US Navy ships... Plus of course around 1000 civilian ships... I have set a deadline before Christmas the year - that will be 20 months after the last mayor release and this will be the so far most comprehensive package.

I actually think this ship is from Misty Moorings - they repainted the standard ships. At least I have not done this one.

This was exactly what I was looking for - a decent view of the flight deck. Thanks a lot. Yesterday I flew straight over the yard in Shanghai where half of them are being built but to my big disappoint it was foggy and rainy and we got into dense clouds before passing over the yard. Still remains to confirm the pennant numbers,

Thanks - after having worked on navy ships for a while it was time to add some of the ships which feeds us... I went to Santos recently and the line of Panamax bulk carriers waiting to load soy and grains was impressive...

On note however. To my knowledge, logs are always carried in the longitudinal direction on the deck. The stanchions on the side keep them from slipping to the sea:
Ups... this is what happens when I guy who never had to load a ship or take the consequence if it was poorly loaded tries to model a ship................. I will do a bit of remodeling so nothing is lost in the virtual sea...

LOL! Stay away from insurance claims! they are a pain!
Actually, the timber on deck, when packed and stowed correctly can be taken into account as additional buoyancy by regulation, and the ship can load even deeper than its normal loadline.
