Global AI Ship Traffic V1 for FSX and P3D News and Support

btw.
Did You check how Global AI ShipTraffic V2 works with Prepar3D v5?

No problems reported :D

And ps... did a bit of a detour from the Falklands project, but nevertheless made a lot of stuff for classic shipping and flying...

Ship or Flight Simulator ?

If a "immaculate" person see these fine screenshots here in this thread he certainly would be confused to be in a Flight Simulator forum and not in one for in a Ship Simulator.

Fabulous work kl791!

I knew there was something wrong.... I couldn't understand why everybody kept talking about airplanes in this forum :wiggle:

Sounds like some people need lessons in navigation.

They think they landed in an Aviation forum! Can't thy see all the amazing ships?
:biggrin-new: :loyal: :encouragement:

Have fun all!
Pat☺

Thx, I didnt try it in v5 but this addon is "must to have" for me also in v5. :wavey:
I'll install it tomorrow again :].

It works great in v5. I had it installed as a package outside P3D in v4.5 so a simple addon.cfg entry pointing to it brought everything in v5 at once.

This opens the question wether aircraft and ships are so differing or may be equal...
Fact is both kinds of movers need buoyancy and both are movers in a three-dimensional world ... very similar (for a common forum)...
The difference is - ships should use only two (viz. X and Y) of the three dimensions - otherwise something has really gone wrong!:nightmare:

Can you give your xml code? It will be quicker for me ;).

Forgive my confusion ... will the Falklans 82 ships be a seperate package or a future update for Global AI Ship Traffic ?

Best wishes

Gary

Good question... I wish I could answer, but currently I am producing a lot of classic ships, so odds are that I will do a separate package which will draw on both the classic ships already included and add a bunch of new ships including Falklands and a completely new set of routes for the classic ships, so there will be at least two but maybe three different periods - 1960-1970, 1975-1985 and then the modern package which will continue to be the most complete with over 1150 ships. For the 75-85 period I guess I have around 200-250 ships - for 1960-1970 maybe around 150 at this point, but speaking with the rest of the team the number might increase significantly.

WOW !!!! .. Now that is exciting news.
Really looking forward to this.

Can you give your xml code? It will be quicker for me ;).

Actually I have created myself a "package" of all files needed in a folder and wrote an xml for it so it is not that simple. I will PM you later when I'm home.
